Kylie Diaz
Kylie Diaz began her tennis journey in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, at the age of seven. She was initially coached by Carlos Castillo and later by Orlando Quinonez, a well-known professional coach in Ecuador. By the age of nine, Kylie was competing in national tournaments across the country, earning multiple titles. At thirteen, she began representing Ecuador in South American tournaments, capturing numerous titles in both singles and doubles. At fourteen, she won the prestigious Ecuadorian Masters Tournament—featuring the top 10 ranked players—and rose to a national ranking as high as No. 3.
As her tennis career advanced, Kylie transitioned to the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior circuit, gaining international experience and further refining her game. At eighteen, she moved to the United States to join the tennis program at Salem University, a Division II school in West Virginia. During her sophomore year, she was honored as one of the team’s top performers and earned accolades at the USCAA tournament. Her leadership on and off the court led to her being named team captain.
Kylie brings several years of coaching experience, working with players of all ages and skill levels. She has spent two consecutive summers coaching at Tennis on the Lake Academy in Chicago, where she led children’s camps, group lessons, and private instruction. In addition to her on-court duties, she also played a key role in event coordination and tournament operations.
