Achillefs Kousardidis

Achillefs began his tennis journey at the age of four in Thessaloniki, Greece. By ten, he was already competing in national tournaments across the country and quickly emerged as one of the most promising players in his age group. At twelve, he expanded his competitive reach by joining the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, eventually achieving a ranking of No. 140. He competed in 46 international events, including seven elite Category 1 tournaments and the prestigious Sánchez-Casal Youth Cup.

His development continued on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit, where he participated in 34 tournaments around the world, including the top-tier Grade A event in Cape Town. Achillefs earned a spot on the Greek National Junior Team and was selected as the No. 1 Greek player to represent his country at the 2021 Individual European Championships. He is a three-time Greek Junior National Champion in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. To further elevate his training, he spent two years at the highly regarded BTT Academy in Barcelona, where he was immersed in the methods and philosophies of high-performance tennis.

Balancing athletic ambition with academic excellence, Achillefs moved to the United States to join the tennis program at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. There, he has continued to thrive, earning the Rookie Award for Tennis and being named Liberty League Rookie of the Week seven times. With an impressive 18–4 record at the No. 3 singles position, he was also named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Alongside his competitive career, Achillefs has developed extensive coaching experience. He has trained players of all ages and skill levels at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center at Sani Resort, where he worked alongside coaches from the Rafa Nadal Academy. He has also coached at Avant Garde Tennis Academy in Thessaloniki and at Ikos Resort in Khalkidiki, leading clinics, private lessons, and strategy sessions to help players sharpen their technique and improve their match performance.
