Welcome to our Buck Hill Falls Community!

Jane Wachter and Gille Roy

Gille is a log home builder and logger. He has built log homes in Turkey, India, and all over the US. In fact, Gille’s family logged and cleared the land that our Buck Hill Golf Cottages were built on in the 1980’s. He has one daughter who works as a federal parole officer in Florida. Jane, a local realtor, grew up in Barrett Township and remembers visits to the Buck Hill Inn and ice skating at the Buck Hill Ice Rink. She has five nieces and nephews and one great nephew who just turned 2 years old. Of their interests, Gille and Jane say, “We snowmobile in NY during the winter and in the summertime, we boat and fish. We have a 2 year old furbaby: Max the Rottweiler.”

Seamus and Lauren Robins

Seamus and Lauren Robins will be joining us on Old Hemlock Lane. Seamus sells Structural Steel for one of the nation’s largest steel companies.  He looks forward to improving his golf game, meeting fellow Buck Hillers, and spending the summers in the Poconos with his daughters. He is a native Texan, but spent time in Alabama, Connecticut, and Arkansas. He is a Chemical Engineering graduate of Villanova University where he met Lauren. Lauren is a retired Veterinarian. She and her family spent summers at Skytop Lodge as a child and she is excited to have a house of her own in her “happy place.”  Besides creating wonderful family memories she looks forward to mah jongg, improving her golf game, and enjoying the nature of the Pocono Mountains on walks with their dog, Kunu. She is a Chicago native and a graduate of Villanova University and the University of Minnesota. They have two daughters who have enjoyed many Fourth of July festivities in Buck Hill Falls and are excited to spend more time there with cottagers Robert and Lois Walinchus who act as grandparents for their daughters since the passing of Lauren’s parents.

Aaron Rabinowitz & Marisa Keselica

Aaron was born in Manhattan, attended the University of Michigan, and primarily grew up in Tenafly, NJ, where his father still resides. He likes to golf and enjoys craft beer. He also enjoys smoking meats and grilling. Marisa grew up in Chatham, NJ and she is an alumni of Smith College. She has dabbled in golf, but she will be working on her swing once the Buck Hill Golf Club’s season starts in April. Of their connection, Marisa says, “Aaron and I both worked in the film industry in Manhattan – Aaron on the advertising side, me on the distribution side, specializing in American independent, documentary, and foreign language films. We owned a boutique advertising agency for about 6 years before focusing on our food business full-time.” The couple owns a sauce and specialty food company called, Buy the Farm – where they specialize in sriracha-style hot sauce, barbecue sauce, hummus, dips, and freshly-made chips. They have sold their products to restaurants and culinary experts including Chef Lee Chizmar’s Bolete (Bethlehem) and Mr. Lee’s Noodles (Easton), Weyerbacher Brewing, Galen Glen Winery, and others. They also work with our very own summer produce providers from Apple Ridge Farm! In the summers, they grow many of the herbs and vegetables that they use in their foods, plus we work with farmer friends to grow the rest. Maybe they’ll share a few gardening tips with us for our Buck Hill Garden Club this season!
