Buck Hill Golf Club enjoys a long and storied past. Opening its first 9 holes in 1907, Buck Hill quickly established itself as the premier course in the Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania. As you play through the wooded, rolling mountainside terrain, you will experience the timeless design of legendary architect Donald Ross. Ridge line silhouettes, relentless undulations, and classic subtleties define this 27-hole masterpiece.
White Course
Course Architect: Donald Ross
- White Tees 3239 Par 36
- Red Tees 2701 Par 36
The White Course, Donald Ross’ front nine in his 18 hole design, is the longest and flattest of the 3 nines and it winds through our beautiful golf cottage community. Number 2 is a great par 5, with the meandering Griscom Run Creek ready to gobble up an errant ball. Speaking of Griscom Run, it winds to the left of number 9, a 199 yd downhill signature par 3 with great views of the mountains behind the green, our signature hole on the White 9.
Blue Course
Course Architect: Donald Ross
- White Tees 3029 Par 36
- Red Tees 2597 Par 36
Longer than the Red with more hills than the White, the Blue Course is a hybrid of those nines. Elevated greens and tees are an earmark of the Blue. Treelined fairways make the Blue a tighter course, and the signature par 5, 4 Blue, is a roller coaster ride capped off by the beautiful Swarthmore Gazebo set by the green. Additionally, 7 Blue is a typical Ross par 3, set over a massive hump and a deep swale in front of the green.
Red Course
Course Architect: Robert White
- White Tees 2823 Par 34
- Red Tees 2480 Par 36
The Red Course is the most open and the most hilly of our 3 nines. Tremendous views abound, as you look upon the surrounding mountains and beautiful golf cottages set across the valley. A flat lie is hard to come by on the Red, sidehill lies abound. The course is shorter, with 3 par 3s and a short par 5, but it has a set of 4 of the most difficult par 4s on the entire course.
