Tree Removal Policy

With the exception of the portion of the premises upon which a structure is to be erected or installed, no trees which have a diameter of over four (4) inches when measured three (3) feet above the ground level shall be cut or otherwise damaged or removed without the written approval of the company

Any outside contractor, who has not already done so, must supply the Buck Hill Falls Company with a current copy of their Certificate of Insurance that includes a minimum liability insurance of one million dollars.

Proper procedure for tree removal in Buck Hill Falls is as follows:

  1. Owner should contact a tree removal specialist to discuss the specifications of the job (If requested, the company can provide a listing of recommended contractors).
  2. Contractor or owner must ribbon the proposed tree(s) to be removed (A representative of the Buck Hill Falls Company can then inspect the trees at their own discretion after receiving a written letter of intent).
  3. Owner must then send the Buck Hill Falls Company a written letter of intent to remove trees on their property. This letter must include:
    1. Name of cottage owner.
    2. Cottage number.
    3. Exact number of trees to be removed.

    8. Any other information the company may need.

    * The Buck Hill Falls Company reserves a thirty (30) day review period to approve all requests, however, most will take less than ten working days.

  4. The contractor may begin work after cottage owner receives a written approval from the company office.
  5. After work is completed, all debris (trimmings, etc.) must be removed from the property.
