Metzgar’s Farm

metzgars_farm1Metzgar’s open meadows are surrounded by stands of mountain laurel, and forest, offering dramatic open views of Skytop, Promised Land, and rolling mountains reaching all the way to New York State. This area, used for picnics, hikes, and large community and family gatherings, comprises some of the highest and most open land of the Buck Hill Falls Company. Originally a farm owned by the Metzgar family (from which the Inn got its milk and pork), this spectacular property was bought by the community in 1956 and is the location of the annual 4th of July and Labor Day community picnics and Camp Club sleep outs.

Metzgar’s can be reserved by cottagers through the company office.
